Determinants of Difficult‐to‐Manage and Treatment‐Refractory Axial Spondyloarthritis: A Cross‐Sectional Analysis within a Longitudinal Cohort

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective To estimate the prevalence of difficult‐to‐manage (D2M) and treatment‐refractory (TR) axSpA and to identify factors associated with D2M/TR disease in a longitudinal cohort. Methods We performed a cross‐sectional analysis on data from the Schroeder Arthritis Institute Spondylitis Program cohort.

Exercise during chemotherapy: Friend or foe?

open access: yesCancer Medicine, 2023
Background A higher chemotherapy completion rate is associated with better outcomes including treatment efficacy and overall survival. Exercise may have the potential to improve relative dose intensity (RDI) by reducing the frequency and severity of ...

Joint Pushing and Caching with a Finite Receiver Buffer: Optimal Policies and Throughput Analysis

open access: yes, 2016
Pushing and caching hold the promise of significantly increasing the throughput of content-centric wireless networks. However, the throughput gain of these techniques is limited by the buffer size of the receiver.

Secondary resonances of co-orbital motions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The size distribution of the stability region around the Lagrangian point L4 is investigated in the elliptic restricted three-body problem as the function of the mass parameter and the orbital eccentricity of the primaries.

Mixing Behavior of Natural Gas and Hydrogen in a High‐Efficiency Vane (HEV) Static Mixer

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Static mixers play a crucial role in the safe transport of hydrogen‐blended natural gas. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was employed to investigate the effects of structural parameters of the HEV static mixer on the mixing behavior and homogeneity of natural gas and hydrogen. The modeling approach was well validated against experimental data.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea Following Head and Neck Chemoradiation: A Scoping Review With Exploratory Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) may contribute to fatigue in head and neck cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, particularly as both have the potential to impact the mechanics and dynamics of the airway.

Berry flavonoids are differently modulated by timing and intensities of water deficit in Vitis vinifera L. cv. Sangiovese

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
In this work, we tested the effect of different regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) regimes on berry flavonoid content and its relative biosynthetic pathways.

The contribution of fatigue and sleepiness to depression in patients attending the sleep laboratory for evaluation of obstructive sleep apnea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Purpose: A high prevalence of depressive symptomatology has been reported amongst sufferers of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), but it remains unclear as to whether this is due to their OSA or other factors associated with the disorder.
