PFAS from a Discrete‐Event Terrestrial Source Migrates with Groundwater to Intertidal Seepages

open access: yesGroundwater, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 323-334, May/June 2026.
PFAS is conveyed to the coastal intertidal zone from sources across the terrestrial landscape. Discharge of PFAS into the coastal ecosystem is complicated in space and time by the ongoing bi‐directional exchange of terrestrial groundwater and ocean water driven by tidal pumping within discharge areas.

Regression depth and support vector machine [PDF]

open access: yes
The regression depth method (RDM) proposed by Rousseeuw and Hubert [RH99] plays an important role in the area of robust regression for a continuous response variable.

Forest type influence on Heliconia‐dipteran interaction networks

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, Volume 19, Issue 3, Page 660-674, May 2026.
Responses to forest type depended on the developmental stage of dipterans. Bract traits and forest type influenced larval abundance, but forest type had no impact on adult alpha and beta diversity. Heliconia‐dipteran interaction networks showed a nested pattern for both forest types.

RDM at Noon: What is RDM - and how can it help me?

open access: yes
Bremen University of Applied Sciences (HSB) is developing institutional structures and services for research data management using funds from the BMBF funding line “Reuse and Management of Research Data at Universities of Applied Sciences (FH/HAW).” These are intended to support HSB researchers in handling research data.

Magnitude and variability of blood pressure and renal vascular conductance responses to postural changes, exercise, and cold in black adults: A pilot study

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 9, May 2026.
Abstract We developed a noninvasive approach to measure vascular responses to sympathetic stimuli. We hypothesized that standing, handgrip exercise, or cold exposure would raise blood pressure (BP) and lower renal vascular conductance (RVC). BP was recorded continuously and renal arterial velocity was measured using renal Doppler ultrasound.

Tracking the Progress of RDM in Canada: Reporting on a textbook chapter on RDM in Canada

open access: yes
Reflecting on the history of Research Data Management (RDM) in Canada, we can gain insights and inspiration for developing new RDM services, infrastructure and charting new pathways. In the Canadian academic community, RDM is often supported by data specialists and librarians, and has developed an advanced service structure based on academic libraries ...
