The effect of measurements, randomly distributed in time, on quantum systems. Stochastic quantum Zeno effect

open access: yes, 2010
The manifestation of measurements, randomly distributed in time, on the evolution of quantum systems are analyzed in detail. The set of randomly distributed measurements (RDM) is modeled within the renewal theory, in which the distribution is ...

Quantum phase transitions in disordered dimerized quantum spin models and the Harris criterion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We use quantum Monte Carlo simulations to study effects of disorder on the quantum phase transition occurring versus the ratio g=J/J' in square-lattice dimerized S=1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnets with intra- and inter-dimer couplings J and J'. The dimers

Abdominal POCUS Education for Clinicians: A Systematic Review of Teaching Methods for Point‐of‐Care Abdominal Ultrasonography

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, Volume 53, Issue 3, Page 547-561, March/April 2025.
For patients to benefit from abdominal point‐of‐care ultrasound, the ultrasound examinator must be sufficiently trained. In this systematic review, we identified advantages and disadvantages of different training methods and approaches. We conclude that thoughtful integration of the various educational methods is crucial for stakeholders and educators.

Research data management and libraries: relationships, activities, drivers and influences. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
The management of research data is now a major challenge for research organisations. Vast quantities of born-digital data are being produced in a wide variety of forms at a rapid rate in universities.

RDM Software Adacta

open access: yes, 2023
Adacta is a Research Data Management (RDM) solution which is developed based on digital twins. It can capture the exact details of experimental setup, associate data with devices and it is a universal approach to RDM. In this slides, some details about the Adacta and an example of its usage is explained by Prof. Olaf Deutschmann from KIT.

Diagnostic accuracy of transmucosal probe visualization for peri‐implant mucosal phenotype assessment: A cross‐sectional study

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background This study evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of visual assessment of mucosal transparency using a standard periodontal probe (VAT) to differentiate between thin and thick peri‐implant mucosal phenotypes, compared to horizontal transmucosal probing (HTP).

Morphological patterns of buccal bone plate in the maxillary esthetic zone: A cross‐sectional study

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background This cross‐sectional study aimed to characterize buccal bone plate (BBP) morphological patterns in anterior maxillary teeth and to evaluate their association with other phenotypical and local anatomical characteristics. Methods Two examiners conducted a qualitative assessment of BBP morphological patterns using cone‐beam computed ...

Centrality dependence of charged-hadron pseudorapidity distributions in PbPb collisions at LHC energies in the RDM

open access: yes, 2012
The centrality dependence of charged-hadron production in relativistic heavy-ion collisions at LHC energies is investigated in a nonequilibrium-statistical relativistic diffusion model (RDM) with three sources.
