ERC abundance and rDNA copy number.
(A) The relative abundance of ERCs in the backcrossed RM and BY strains with either BY or RM rDNA was determined in populations of old and young cells. DNA (uncut) was separated on a 0.8% agarose gel and a Southern blot was probed for rDNA.

Hamiltonella defensa infection increases honeydew production in certain aphid genotypes, potentially modifying aphid feeding behaviour. Parasitoid wasps, Aphidius ervi, are more attracted to honeydew from H. defensa‐infected aphids; though larger honeydew amounts may slightly deter searching.

Pathophysiology and emerging treatments for dermographic, cholinergic and cold urticaria
This review illustrates key proposed mast cell‐mediated activation pathways in dermographic, cholinergic and cold urticaria, highlighting IgE‐dependent and ‐independent mechanisms. These pathways are increasingly targeted by emerging drugs, aiming to interrupt mast cell activation and mediator release, offering more precise, mechanism‐based treatment ...

Ribosomal DNA (rDNA) copy number (CN) varies widely both across and within species. In humans, it has been hypothesized that rDNA transcriptional activity is partially regulated by rDNA methylation status.

Abstract Pyrrhulina australis Eigenmann & Kennedy, 1903, is widely distributed across the main hydrographic basins of South America. The taxonomic integrity of this species is nevertheless challenged by the lack of clear diagnostic characters, its marked geographic variation and the morphological overlap with its congeners. In this context, the present
