Re-Entrant Corner for a White-Metzner Fluid [PDF]

open access: yesFluids, 2021
Viscoelastic fluids can be difficult to model due to the wide range of different physical behaviors that polymer melts can exhibit. One such feature is the viscous elastic boundary layer. We address the particular problem of a viscoelastic shear-dependent fluid flowing past a corner and investigate how the properties of the boundary layer change for a ...

The Effect of Orientation Angle of Center Facing Arm on Elongation of 3D-Printed Auxetic-Structure Textiles

open access: yesTextiles
This study aimed to examine the effect of the orientation angle of center facing arms on the elongation and strength of 3D-printed textiles with two different re-entrant cellular auxetic structures.

Axisymmetric Waves in Re-Entrant Cavities

open access: yesRadiophysics and Quantum Electronics, 2003
We employ a well-established method to determine the dispersion properties of transverse magnetic and transverse electric waves in re-entrant cavities. We assume that the waveguide structure consists of a large number of identical cavities in order that the Floquet theorem could be applied to describe the electromagnetic field in an empty cylinder ...

Electrophysiological predictors of propafenone efficacy in prevention of atrioventricular nodal re-entrant and atrioventricular re-entrant tachycardia [PDF]

open access: yesCroatian Medical Journal, 2012
To assess the efficacy of propafenone in prevention of atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) and orthodromic atrioventricular tachycardia (AVRT) based on the clinical results of arrhythmia recurrence and find the electrophysiological predictor of propafenone effectiveness. This retrospective study included 44 participants in a 12-month ...

Re-entrant ferromagnetism in the ThFe3−Al system [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1996
Abstract The magnetic behaviour of ThFe3−xAlx of which the parent compound displays re-entrant ferromagnetism, has been studied. Substitution of Al leads to an expansion of the lattice which is the largest in the basal plane. The Curie-temperature decreases monotonously from 428 K for x = 0 to 341 K for x = 0.33.

Effects of re-entrant auxetic structure on friction-induced vibrational behaviour of 3D printed PLA in sliding wear process

open access: yesFriction
The present research investigates the effects of re-entrant auxetic structure’s on friction-induced vibrational behaviour of three-dimensional (3D) printed polylactic acid (PLA) samples.

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.

Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.
