Rhenium-osmium geochronology and geochemistry of ancient lacustrine sedimentary and petroleum systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The Re-Os geochronometer is a valuable tool able to provide precise depositional ages of marine organic-rich sedimentary rocks as well as the generation age of hydrocarbons. In addition, Os isotopes afford vital insights into seawater Os fluctuations and

Accurate Determination of the Age of the Carbonaceous Mudstone of the Ordovician-Silurian Boundary in Zheng'an County, Guizhou Province by Re-Os Isotope Dating Method and Its Application in Paleoenvironmental Inversion

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2020
BACKGROUND Organic-rich sedimentary rocks of the Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation are widely developed in the Ordovician-Silurian boundary of the Upper Yangtze platform in China, which is rich in shale gas resources. Using the Re-Os isotope system to study this

Serological Benefit of SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccination Relative to Infection in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Time constraints on the formation of lithospheric mantle beneath cratons: a re-Os isotope and platinum group element study of peridotite xenoliths from northern Canada and Lesotho, [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Understanding the generation and evolution of cratonic lithospheric keels requires detailed knowledge of their age, timescale of formation, and the relationship between the crust and mantle part of the lithosphere.

The Metallogenic Age of the Ovor Bayan Molybdenum Deposit in Southeastern Mongolia: Constraints from SHRIMP Zircon U-Pb and Molybdenite Re-Os Geochronology

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The Ovor Bayan molybdenum deposit in Mongolia is located within the western segment of the Nukhetdavaa–Erlianhot–Dongwuzhumuqin–Aershan Mo–Pb–Zn–W–Cu–Sn–Cr–Fe metallogenic belt in the Mongolia–Daxing’anling Metallogenic Province.

Deep Sequencing of FLT3‐ITD Enables Response Evaluation and Post‐Treatment Monitoring in Childhood AML: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Re‐Os isotope systematics in carbonates from Serpent Mound, Ohio: Implications for Re‐Os dating of crustal rocks and the osmium isotopic composition of Ordovician seawater [PDF]

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 2004
Eleven core samples of Ordovician carbonates and shale from within and nearby the Serpent Mound (Ohio) cryptoexplosion structure were analyzed for Re‐Os isotopes. Whole‐rock samples span a large range in measured 187Os/188Os (0.714 to 6.083), and exhibit a linear correlation of 187Os/188Os with 187Re/188Os.

Time Toxicity in Wilms Tumor: Quantifying the Burden of Healthcare Interaction in the First Year After Diagnosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Origin and Geochronology of Chang'anpu Mo-Cu Deposit in Jilin Province: Constraints from Molybdenite Re-Os Isotope Systematics

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2016
The east-central part of Jilin Province, located on the continental margin of northeast China along the eastern Xing-Meng orogenic belt, hosts more than 10 large-and medium-scale Mo deposits. The major types of mineralization include porphyry, skarn, and

The Implications of HClO4 for Dissolving Large Masses of Low Level Os in Metal Sulfides and Factors that Influence Re-Os Dating

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In general, no more than 1 g of metal sulfide can be completely digested in 20 mL of inverse aqua regia using the Carius tube technique. In this study, the sample weight increased after adding HClO4 to inverse aqua regia while the volume of acid ...
