Geochemical, microthermometric, and geochronological characterization of the newly discovered Binnan molybdenum deposit in the great Xing’an Range, northeast China: insights into ore genesis

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
In this paper, the Binnan molybdenum (Mo) deposit, a newly discovered deposit located in the Great Xing’an Range, eastern section of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt, has been subjected to a comprehensive integrated study involving field surveys, rhenium ...

Laser Engineering of HfN‐Based Nanoparticles for Safe NIR‐I Photothermal and X‐ray Enhancing Cancer Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we produced HfN‐based nanoparticles via femtosecond laser ablation in acetone. The nanoparticles exhibit a red‐shifted plasmonic resonance in the NIR‐I window, colloidal stability after coating with polyethyleneglycol, and excellent biocompatibility. The photothermal and X‐ray sensitization therapeutic effects were demonstrated for tumor

Re–Os isotope geochronology of the Shangbao pyrite–flourite deposit in southeastern Hunan, South China: Evidence for multiple mineralization events and the role of crust–mantle interaction in polymetallic deposits

open access: yesSolid Earth Sciences, 2017
In South China, both crustal reworking and crust–mantle interaction were important geological processes during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras. However, the relationships between these two processes and metal mineralization are still unknown.

Spin Defects in Hexagonal Boron Nitride as 2D Strain Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that boron‐vacancy (VB${\rm V}_{\rm B}$) centers in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) enable quantitative strain sensing with sub‐micrometer resolution. Using this approach under continuously tunable in‐plane stress, we precisely quantify strain‐induced shifts of the E2g${\rm E}_{2{\rm g}}$ Raman mode in multilayer hBN, establishing VB${\rm ...

Ore mineralization of gold-uranium occurrences Ozernoe and Lagernoe (Kuolayarvi structure, North Karelia)

open access: yesVestnik MGTU, 2019
Alkaline-carbonate metasomatites of fault zones are widely distributed within all Precambrian shields. Their studying has attracted the close attention of researchers in connection with the confinement of various concentrations of ore-forming elements ...

Oxygen isotope geochemistry of the second HSDP core [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Oxygen isotope ratios were measured in olivine phenocrysts (~1 mm diameter), olivine microphenocrysts (generally ~100–200 µm diameter), glass, and/or matrix from 89 samples collected from depths down to 3079.7 m in the second, and main, HSDP core (HSDP-2)

Re-Os isotopic system and formation age of subcontinental lithosphere mantle

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2000
The determination of the formation age of subcontinental Lithosphere Mantle (SCLM) is a widely concerned issue in mantle geochemistry. It is difficult to obtain the formation age of SCLM using lithophile isotopic systems such as Rb-Sr, Sm-Nd, U-Th-Pb, etc., but as siderophile elements, the Re-Os isotopic system provides a powerful tool for that work ...

The Terminal Domains of Collagen‐Like Silk Direct Molecular Interactions and Liquid–Liquid Phase Separation‐Mediated Material Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Terminal domains of recombinant collagen‐like silk regulate hierarchical self‐assembly across molecular and material scales. We show that terminal domains of collagen‐like silk enhance triple‐helix stability and drive liquid–liquid phase separation, enabling reversible formation of fibers and self‐healing films.

Solubility isotope effects in aqueous solutions of methane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The isotope effect on the Henry's law coefficients of methane in aqueous solution (H/D and C-12/C-13 substitution) are interpreted using the statistical mechanical theory of condensed phase isotope effects.
