Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Numerical Solutions of Reaction-Diffusion systems with coupled diffusion terms
Numerical solutions of some initial-boundary value problem associated with a particular reaction-diffusion systems namely Gray-Scott model responsible for spatial pattern formation are considered.

Quantum reaction-limited reaction–diffusion dynamics of noninteracting Bose gases
We investigate quantum reaction–diffusion (RD) systems in one-dimension with bosonic particles that coherently hop in a lattice, and when brought in range react dissipatively.

Mathematical modelling of biosensors with substrate and product degeneration
This paper presents a one-dimensional-in-space mathematical model of the amperometric biosensors with substrate and product degeneration. The model is based on diffusion equations containing a non-linear term related to Michaelis-Menten kinetics of the ...

Woodcuts are a traditional form of engraving, where paint is rolled over the surface of a carved wood block which will be used as a printing surface over a sheet of paper, so only the non-carved parts will be printed in the paper. In this paper, we present an approach for computer simulated woodcuts using reaction-diffusion as the underlying mechanism.

Phase reduction approach to synchronization of spatiotemporal rhythms in reaction-diffusion systems
Reaction-diffusion systems can describe a wide class of rhythmic spatiotemporal patterns observed in chemical and biological systems, such as circulating pulses on a ring, oscillating spots, target waves, and rotating spirals. These rhythmic dynamics can

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Reaction diffusion equations with boundary degeneracy
In this article, we consider the reaction diffusion equation $$ \frac{\partial u}{\partial t} = \Delta A(u),\quad (x,t)\in \Omega \times (0,T), $$ with the homogeneous boundary condition.

Perturbative Linearization of Reaction-Diffusion Equations
We develop perturbative expansions to obtain solutions for the initial-value problems of two important reaction-diffusion systems, viz., the Fisher equation and the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau (TDGL) equation.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
