Enthalpy-Driven Swelling of Photonic Block Polymer Films

open access: yes, 2016
Nonvolatile, soft photonic films that reflect UV/vis light were prepared by enthalpy-driven swelling of lamellar-forming polystyrene-b-poly(2-vinylpyridine) (PS–P2VP) block copolymer thin films with a neat protic solvent.

Thermochemistry of a Biomimetic and Rubisco-Inspired CO2 Capture System from Air

open access: yesC, 2016
In theoretical studies of chemical reactions the reaction thermochemistry is usually reported for the stoichiometric reaction at standard conditions (ΔG°, ΔH°, ΔS°). We describe the computation of the equilibrium concentrations of the CO2-adducts for the

Polymeric Sorbents as Energy‐Efficient Alternative to Cryogenic Distillation for Light Hydrocarbon Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The transition from cryogenic distillation to polymeric sorbents for light hydrocarbon purification is crucial for energy and environmental sustainability. The polymeric sorbents are engineered to separate gas mixtures based on their specific properties.

Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Framework Flexibility on Water Sorption and Transport in ZIF‐90: Insights from Neural‐Network Molecular Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A DeepMD‐based molecular dynamics framework is developed to investigate water adsorption in ZIF‐90, explicitly accounting for framework flexibility. Results show that atomistic flexibility significantly influences adsorption energetics, diffusion, and structural correlations, yielding nearly constant heat of adsorption and enhanced mobility.

The B-Li System. Calorimetric and Theoretical Studies / Układ B-Li. Badania Kalorymetryczne I Teoretyczne

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2015
The standard enthalpy of formation of the B78Li22 alloy was measured with the use of the water reaction calorimetric method at 25 °C (298 K). An X-ray diffraction study of the prepared sample was conducted.
