Carboxylate-assisted cobalt(III)-catalyzed C–H cyanations are highly efficient processes for the synthesis of (hetero)aromatic nitriles. We have now analyzed the cyanation of differently substituted 2-phenylpyridines in detail computationally by density ...

High-energy exclusive leptoproduction of vector mesons
The physics of diffractive vector meson production in virtual photon nucleon scattering at NMC energies is reviewed. A particular attention is paid to the physical aspects of the reaction and how they influence the observables.

Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

On the dynamics of chemical reactions of negative ions
This review discusses the dynamics of negative ion reactions with neutral molecules in the gas phase. Most anion-molecule reactions proceed via a qualitatively different interaction potential than cationic or neutral reactions.

An automated method to find reaction mechanisms and solve the kinetics in organometallic catalysis
A novel computational method based on a procedure combining accelerated direct dynamics with an efficient geometry-based post-processing algorithm is proposed for use in discovering reaction mechanisms and solving the kinetics of transition metal ...

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Mechanism of the microtubule GTPase reaction.
The rate of GTP hydrolysis by microtubules has been measured at tubulin subunit concentrations where microtubules undergo net disassembly. This was made possible by using microtubules stabilized against disassembly by reaction with ethylene glycol bis-(succinimidylsuccinate) (EGS) as sites for the addition of tubulin-GTP subunits.

In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.
