Zinc‐Containing Bioactive Glass Programs Macrophage Polarization through Extracellular Traps Regulation for Enhanced Diabetic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Zinc‐containing bioactive glass (ZnBG) promotes diabetic wound healing by regulating macrophage extracellular traps (METs). Specifically, ZnBG reduces oxidative stress and inhibits the PAD4 and NLRP3/caspase‐1/GSDMD signaling pathways, thereby suppressing MET formation.

Reaction Sintering of Aluminum Nitride.

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy, 1994
Aluminum nitride blocks were prepared by the usual method of powder metallurgy. The raw material is of ultrafine aluminum particles prepared by arc-prasma processing. The particles were pressed in a steel die, followed by two-step sintering (873K and 1473K) in flowing nitrogen under null pressure. The nitriding reaction of aluminum is exothermic, thus ...

Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Phase-pure BiFeO3 produced by reaction flash-sintering of Bi2O3 and Fe2O3

open access: yes, 2018
Mixed powders of Bi2O3 and Fe2O3 are shown to yield single-phase, dense nanostructured polycrystals of BiFeO3 in reaction flash sintering experiments, carried out by applying a field of 50 V cm−1 and with the current limit set to 35 mA mm−2.

Alkaline Leaching: A Facile Surface Activation Strategy to Improve the Reactivity of Air Electrodes for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that alkaline leaching of PrBa0.8Ca0.2Co2O5+δ under anodic bias selectively removes Ba and Ca, forming a cobalt‐rich and amorphous layer. The modified surface significantly boosts ORR activity, offering a simple and effective strategy to improve electrochemical device performance.
