Study of the Electrochemical Oxidation of Reactive Textile Dyes Using Platinum Electrode
Textile industries are widespread in developing countries. Among the various processes in the textile industry, the dyeing process uses large volumes of water for dyeing, fixing and washing. Textile industry wastewater is characterized by intensive color

As is known, color stripping can be done with oxidizing or reducing agents. Today, reactive dye stripping is conventionally carried out via reductive method using hydrosulfite.

Reactive Disperse Dyes Bearing Various Blocked Isocyanate Groups for Digital Textile Printing Ink
Wastewater management is of considerable economic and environmental importance for the dyeing industry. Digital textile printing (DTP), which is based on sublimation transfer and does not generate wastewater, is currently being explored as an inkjet ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Development of chitosan-based adsorbents for removal of reactive Azo Dyes from Aqueous solution. [PDF]
The adsorption of reactive blue 19 (RB19), reactive orange 16 (R016) and reactive black 5 (RB5) on cross-linked chitosan/oil palm ash composite beads was studied in batch and column modes of operation.

The removal of important textile dyes by turnip peroxidase (TNP) was evaluated. The textile effluents besides the residual dyes contain also chemical auxiliaries such as salts, dispersing and wetting agents.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Removal of colour from solutions of azo dyes using bacterial cells (Shewanella strain J18 143) [PDF]
Water pollution control is presently one of the major areas of scientific activity. While coloured organic compounds generally impart only a minor fraction of the organic load to wastewater, their colour renders them aesthetically unacceptable.

The preparation and reactivity of some photoactivable reactive dyes
Abstract A survey of the potential application of a range of carbenes as the reactive intermediates for the irreversible attachment of a dye to its substrate has been undertaken. A dye, modified with a carbene precursor, has been subjected to laser photolysis, and shown to insert with low efficiency into alcoholic solvents.

Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...
