The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Impact of high and zero formaldehyde crosslinkers on the performance of the dyed cotton fabric [PDF]
Performance of the colored cotton fabrics dyed with sulphur, vat, direct and reactive dyes was investigated by using two crosslinkers. DMDHEU was used as formaldehyde based crosslinker and BTCA was assessed as a zero formaldehyde alternative ...

Comparison of different wastewater treatments for colour removal of reactive dye baths [PDF]
The generation of high-coloured wastewater is one of the main environmental problems of the textile industry. Reactive dyes are widely used in the dyeing of cellulosic fibres. However, they have low exhaustion degree (70–90%). The degradation of residual

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Ozone treatment of aqueous solutions containing commercial dyes [PDF]
Degradation by ozone and biodegradability were studied for two different families of non-biodegradable textile dyes(reactive dyes and direct dyes). 95% of color removal ofdye solutions was achieved with ozone dose of 2.5 ppm.

Controlled synthesis of TiO2 hierarchical nanofibre structures via electrospinning and solvothermal processes : photocatalytic activity for degradation of methylene blue [PDF]
The present article describes a new titanium oxide‐based (TiO2) photocatalyst that shows promise for acceleration of dye degradation. A hierarchical TiO2 nanostructure comprising nanorods on‐nanofibres has been prepared using a sol–gel route and ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Kinetic study of adsorption and photo-decolorization of Reactive Red 198 on TiO2 surface [PDF]
Recycling and reuse of wastewater after purification will reduce the environmental pollution as well as fulfill the increasing demand of water. Adsorption-based water treatment process is very popular for dye-house wastewater treatment. The present study

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Comparative Analysis of Anthraquinone Reactive Dyes with Direct Dyes for Papermaking Applicability
Aiming to compare the applicability and the successfulness of reactive dye printing papers’ coloration, two laboratory-synthesized anthraquinone reactive dyes are studied in comparison with two commercially available anionic and cationic direct dyes ...
