The Design, Synthesis and Application of Easy Wash Off Reactive Dyes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Reactive dyes are colorants used mainly on cotton to achieve high washfastness on leisurewear. The basis for their good washfastness is the formation of a covalent bond to cellulose chains during the fixation step.

Color removal of reactive dyes from water by clinoptilolite [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The adsorption of reactive dyes on Gordes (Turkey) clinoptilolite was investigated by a series of batch and column adsorption experiments. Three reactive dyes (Everzol Black, Everzol Red. Everzol Yellow) were used in laboratory studies.

Radiological Safety Concerns in the Textile Dye Industry

open access: yesJournal of Scientific Research in Science
People are frequently exposed to various harmful and allergic compounds derived from textiles. One major source of persistent organic pollutants in the environment is dye wastewater from this sector.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Analysis of reactive dyes using high performance capillary electrophoresis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Increasing reports of coloured effluent from waste water treatment plants receiving reactive dye waste from textile mills indicate the need to learn more about the fate of these dyes.

Simultaneous determination of textile dyes by Adsorptive Cathodic Stripping Voltammetry - doi: 10.4025/actascitechnol.v35i2.16595

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Technology, 2013
The Adsorptive Cathodic Stripping Voltammetry (ACSV - differential pulse) proved to be an efficient method in the separation and quantification of two reactive textile dyes, Procion Yellow (PY) and Procion Red (PR), each containing two azo groups as ...

Preoperative circulating tumor cells integrated with imaging analysis for prognostic evaluation in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...

Sorption of Reactive Dyes by Aeromonas biomass [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Because of the cheaical stability of the dye compounds and the difficulties of treating dyeing wastewaters by conventional processes, the reaoval of colour from textile and/or dyeing wastewaters is one of the major environmental problems.
