Temperature dependence of the surface reactivity of SiH3 radicals and the surface silicon hydride composition during amorphous silicon growth

Surface Science, 2003
For hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) film growth governed by SiH3 plasma radicals, the surface reaction probability b of SiH3 and the silicon hydride (–SiHx) composition of the a-Si:H surface have been investigated by timeresolved cavity ringdown and attenuated total reflection infrared spectroscopy, respectively. The surface hydride composition

Improved hydrogen storage kinetics of nanoconfined LiBH4-MgH2 reactive hydride composites catalyzed with nickel Nanoparticles

MRS Proceedings, 2012
ABSTRACTLiBH4 and MgH2 both have high gravimetric and volumetric hydrogen storage densities. Unfortunately, their commercial application is prevented by high thermal stability and unfavorable thermodynamic properties. Combining the two hydrides leads to a new decomposition pathway with suitable enthalpy of reaction.

Role of Additives on the Kinetic and Thermodynamic Properties of Mg(NH2)2+LiH Reactive Hydride Composite

2020
The hydrogen storage properties of the Li-Mg-N-H system composed of Mg(NH2)2 and LiH are investigated. In the last decade, the Li-Mg-N-H system attracted increasing attention due to its high hydrogen storage capacity (5.5 wt.%), favourable dehydrogenation enthalpy (∆H ≈ 40 kJ∙mol-1H2) and good reversibility.

Activation of the reactive hydride composite 2NaBH(4) + MgH(2) RID A-2096-2009 RID B-4391-2009

2011
A novel method to enhance the reaction kinetics of the reactive hydride composite 2NaBH4 + MgH2 is described. It has been discovered that short-term exposure to a moist atmosphere has a very beneficial effect on the desorption reaction of the 2NaBH4 + MgH2 mixture.
