Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Autonomous Voltage and Reactive Power Control of Grid-Forming Inverters Using Physics-Guided ANN-Based Virtual Impedance

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Voltage control is problematic in an islanded microgrid, as small and mismatched feeder impedances lead to inaccurate reactive power sharing among grid-forming inverters and potential instability under conventional droop control.

Grid Agnostic Droop Control Strategy for Damping Restoration and Optimal Reactive Power-Sharing

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics
In low-voltage microgrids, parallel grid-forming inverters face the challenge of disproportional reactive power sharing due to (i) the local nature of voltages and (ii) the cross-coupling between the frequency and voltage droop control loops resulting ...

Distributed Adaptive Virtual Impedance for Reactive Power Sharing in Microgrid

open access: yesInternational Journal for Modern Trends in Science and Technology, 2020
The concept of microgrid has been developed to realize flexible coordination control among Distributed Generation (DG) units, improve the power quality supplied to customers. The problem such as the power quality and the system stability due to the intermittency of the renewable energy sources and the fluctuating load profile.

Unraveling the Mg Loss Mechanism and Degradation Kinetics in Thermoelectric n‐Type Mg2Si‐Mg2Sn Solid Solutions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mg‐based thermoelectrics are among the most promising candidates for power generation applications but their performance is compromised by Mg loss at device operation temperatures due to the higher chemical potential of Mg (μMg${\mu}_{\mathrm{Mg}}$) inside the material compared to the environment.
