Structure-Property Relationships for New Amines for Reactive CO2 Absorption
New amines for reactive absorption of CO2 from synthesis gas were developed, synthesized, and characterized. All studied amines are derivatives of triacetone amine (TAA) and differ only in the substituent of the basic TAA ring structure. In a first step,

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Dye detoxification by Lentinula edodes INCQS 40220
Lentinula edodes belongs to the group of fungi known as ligninolytic fungi, due to its ability to degrade the aromatic structure of the lignin. Textile dyes also have aromatic structure, and after microbial degradation, some of them can be transformed ...

New Structure of Reactive Power Market by Considering Reactive Power Losses
In this paper, a new reactive power market structure is studied and presented. Active power flow by itself causes active and reactive losses. Considering such losses after active power market clearing and in the reactive power market procedure without ...

Stabilization of reactive species by supramolecular encapsulation.
Molecular containers have attracted the interest of supramolecular chemists since the early beginnings of the field. Cavitands' inner cavities were quickly exploited by Cram and Warmuth to construct covalent containers able to stabilize and assist the ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
