[Reactive thrombocytosis, a lipid dysfunction?].
Schweizerische medizinische Wochenschrift, 1997Reactive thrombocytosis (RT, platelet counts > 400 x 10(3)/mm3) following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) has previously been reported to occur frequently (20%) and is associated with thrombotic complications, e.g. vein graft occlusion. This prospective study was undertaken in an attempt to identify the underlying causes of RT following CABG. 40

[Pseudohyperkalemia in the serum in reactive thrombocytosis and thrombocythemia].
Deutsche medizinische Wochenschrift (1946), 1986In 80 patients with different platelet counts serum and plasma potassium concentration was measured, 30 minutes after blood sampling and three and six hours of storage. Serum and plasma concentrations differed, depending on the platelet count. In reactive thrombocytosis the mean difference was 0.7 mmol/l, independently of the time since sampling.
