In Situ Generation of a Robust Gel Polymer Electrolyte From a Poly(Ethylene Carbonate)‐Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber Containing Thermoplastic Vulcanizate Electrolyte

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
A gel polymer electrolyte thermoplastic vulcanizate (GPE–TPV) was prepared by blending HNBR and PEC by melt extrusion then thermally decomposing PEC to yield liquid EC. EC is absorbed into the crosslinked HNBR, yielding an electrolyte that is mechanically and electrochemically stable enough to permit cycling in a LiFePO4–Li half‐cell.

Creating space(s) for learning in prison: Developing an andragogical framework

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Learning in prison is too often excluded from wider discussions of educational experiences, processes and impact. This paper proposes, for the first time, an iterative andragogical framework to conceptualise learning spaces within prison contexts.

English teachers' journeys since the 2020 Iteration of Black Lives Matter

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract The 2020 resurgence of Black Lives Matter (BLM) mobilised students in England to demand greater representation of racially minoritised voices in English curriculums—a call highlighted by stark inequity: just 1.5% of GCSE texts studied are by racially minoritised authors, despite racially minoritised students comprising 38.0% of the student ...

Performance, Combustion and Emission Analysis of Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition Engine

open access: yesInternational Research Journal on Advanced Engineering and Management (IRJAEM)
Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition (RCCI) is an advanced combustion technology that uses two fuels with different reactivity to improve engine efficiency and reduce emissions. In this study, the performance, combustion, and emission characteristics of an RCCI engine were analyzed using gasoline as the low-reactivity fuel and diesel as the high ...
