Word reading and reading comprehension: stability, overlap and independence
Reading and Writing, 2007Longitudinal twin data were analyzed to investigate the etiology of the stability of genetic and environmental influences on word reading and reading comprehension, as well as the stability of those influences on their relationship. Participating twin pairs were initially tested at a mean age of 10.3 years, and retested approximately five years later ...

Stabilization films for dual stripe read sensors
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2000The processing and properties of different types of NiFe/stabilization films, for use in multi-track dual-stripe MR read heads, is described. The films were deposited in situ, after an etch step, using collimated deposition, and with minimal re-deposition.

Stability of varicella-zoster virus open reading frame 63
Archives of Virology, 2008The stability of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) open reading frame (ORF) 63 was analyzed by sequential passage of a virus strain in cell culture. VZV was propagated in culture for 1,206 passages. ORF63 from six passages (18, 220, 516, 730, 1060, and 1,206) was selected and sequenced.

Prediction and Stability of Reading Problems in Middle Childhood
Journal of Learning Disabilities, 2013The longitudinal prediction of reading problems from fourth grade to sixth grade was investigated with a sample of 173 students. Reading problems at the end of sixth grade were defined by significantly below average performance (≤ 15th percentile) on reading factors defining word reading, fluency, and reading comprehension.

Ocular Dominance Stability and Reading Skill: A Controversial Relationship
Optometry and Vision Science, 2011Evidence is mixed concerning the relationship between stability of ocular dominance and reading deficits. Contrasting results may be due to the use of different tests of dominance, different samples of readers, and different scoring methods. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship among ocular dominance, general visual abilities, and ...

Twin Research and Human Genetics, 2007
AbstractResults obtained from previous longitudinal studies of reading difficulties indicate that reading deficits are generally stable. However, little is known about the etiology of this stability. Thus, the primary objective of this first longitudinal twin study of reading difficulties is to provide an initial assessment of genetic and environmental

STT-RAM read stability in DRAM operating region
2015 15th Non-Volatile Memory Technology Symposium (NVMTS), 2015Spin-transfer-torque RAM (STT-RAM) is the most promising candidate for replacing DRAM while gaining an additional function of non-volatility. The relationship between rapid increase of spin-inversion current and stability of read operation (read disturbance) in the DRAM-array operating time region of less than 10 ns (i.e., "fast" region) was examined ...

Long-Term Stability of Children's Attitudes Toward Reading
The Journal of Educational Research, 1996The long-term stability of the construct of children's attitudes toward reading was examined. One hundred eighty-nine students in Grades 1-4 completed two administrations of the Elementary Reading Attitude Survey (ERAS) following a 3-year interval. Initially, reading attitudes were relatively positive and comparable to the standardization sample for ...

Back-Gate Controlled READ SRAM with Improved Stability
2005 IEEE International SOI Conference Proceedings, 2006We have presented a novel back-gate controlled UTSOI SRAM cell structure and associated design considerations. The proposed scheme offers improved stability compared with conventional 6T cell, and has less number of transistors than the conventional 10T cell.

Electrical Stability (Read and Write Operations)
2011In SRAM, read and write are fundamental operations. To ensure the correct operations, the stability analysis is indispensable. In this chapter, electrical stability analysis is explained. In Sect. 3.1, the SRAM operations, read and write, are explained. In this section, the read stability, static-noise margin SNM, and the write stability are described.
