Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

Design and Modeling of a High‐Displacement, Skin‐Integrated Flexible Electromagnetic Actuator for Haptic Interfaces in Virtual Reality

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A flexible, skin‐integrated electromagnetic actuator is developed for wearable virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) haptic systems. A tunable design model enables control over displacement and resonance frequency. The system is validated through a custom VR application with a 6 × 4 actuator array, demonstrating real‐time, spatially targeted tactile ...

The adaptation of the reader self-perception scale to the 4th and 5th grade Turkish students

open access: yes, 2008
Problem statement: The affective dimension of reading instruction like self-efficacy has been highly studied, and a need for the assessment of this dimension has emerged in recent years. After some effort, the Reader Self-Perception Scale (RSPS) was developed to meet this need.

The effects of feedforward audio self-modelling on reading fluency, comprehension, and reader self-perception

open access: yes, 2021
The purpose of this study is to offer an additional strategy and teaching tool for emergent readers in secondary educational settings. The intervention being utilized is feedforward audio self-modelling (FFASM). Since the 1970s, studies have shown video self-modelling (VSM) to be an effective tool in improving behaviour.
