Psychological Safety Among Interprofessional Pediatric Oncology Teams in Germany: A Nationwide Survey

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Psychological safety (PS) is essential for teamwork, communication, and patient safety in complex healthcare environments. In pediatric oncology, interprofessional collaboration occurs under high emotional and organizational demands. Low PS may increase stress, burnout, and adverse events.

Complex nth power root fuzzy sets: Theory, and applications for multi-attribute decision making in uncertain environments.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
The newly introduced nth power root fuzzy set is a useful tool for expressing ambiguity and vagueness. It has an improved ability to manage uncertain situations compared to intuitionistic fuzzy set and Pythagorean fuzzy set theories, making nth power ...

Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Twisted hyperk\"ahler symmetries and hyperholomorphic line bundles

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper we propose and investigate in full generality new notions of (continuous, non-isometric) symmetry on hyperk\"ahler spaces. These can be grouped into two categories, corresponding to the two basic types of continuous hyperk\"ahler isometries

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Regularity of roots of polynomials

open access: yes, 2016
We show that smooth curves of monic complex polynomials $P_a (Z)=Z^n+\sum_{j=1}^n a_j Z^{n-j}$, $a_j : I \to \mathbb C$ with $I \subset \mathbb R$ a compact interval, have absolutely continuous roots in a uniform way.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Hypercomplex Algebras and their application to the mathematical formulation of Quantum Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Quantum theory (QT), namely in terms of Schr\"odinger's 1926 wave functions in general requires complex numbers to be formulated. However, it soon turned out to even require some hypercomplex algebra. Incorporating Special Relativity leads to an equation
