Real time obscuration monitoring
SPIE Proceedings, 2016Recently a real time particle deposition monitoring system is developed. After discussions with optical system engineers a new feature has been added. This enables the real time monitoring of obscuration of exposed optical components by counting the deposited particles and sizing the obscuration area of each particle.

Real-Time Execution Monitoring
IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, 1984Today's programming methodology emphasizes the study of static aspects of programs. In practice, however, monitoring a program in execution, i.e., monitoring a process, is routinely done by any programmer whose task it is to produce a reliable piece of software. There are two reasons why one might want to examine the dynamic aspects of a program: first,

Real-Time Monitoring of Growing Nanoparticles
Science, 2003One challenge in the production of nanometer-sized objects with given properties is to control their growth at a macroscopic scale in situ and in real time. A dedicated ultrahigh-vacuum grazing-incidence small-angle x-ray scattering setup has been developed, yielding high sensitivity and dynamics.

Real-time monitoring system for microfluidics
SPIE Proceedings, 2007A new non-invasive real-time system for the monitoring and control of microfluidodynamic phenomena is proposed. The general purpose design of such system is suitable for in vitro and in vivo experimental setup and therefore for microfluidic application in the biomedical field such as lab-on-chip and for research studies in the field of ...

Real-time computing in patient monitoring
International Journal of Bio-Medical Computing, 1972Abstract The Research Department of Anaesthetics at the Royal College of Surgeons has been involved in computer-oriented patient monitoring for the last three years. Monitoring, in this context, means that not only should the clinician be able to detect that a dangerous situation has arisen, but that the system should be able to predict that such a ...
