Real-time monitoring of swimming performance
2016 38th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC), 2016This article presents the performance results of a novel algorithm for swimming analysis in real-time within a low-power wrist-worn device. The estimated parameters are: lap count, stroke count, time in lap, total swimming time, pace/speed per lap, total swam distance, and swimming efficiency (SWOLF).

Real-Time Clinical Monitoring of Biomolecules
Annual Review of Analytical Chemistry, 2013Continuous monitoring of clinical biomarkers offers the exciting possibility of new therapies that use biomarker levels to guide treatment in real time. This review explores recent progress toward this goal. We initially consider measurements in body fluids by a range of analytical methods.

Real-time cardiac monitors (RTCMs) are portable computerized devices that use programmed algorithms to perform rapid, readily available online analysis and processing of electrocardiographic (ECG) data. RTCMs are primarily applied for long-term monitoring of ambulatory cardiac outpatients for the purpose of detecting transient abnormal ECG events.
