Real-Time Monitoring of Growing Nanoparticles

Science, 2003
One challenge in the production of nanometer-sized objects with given properties is to control their growth at a macroscopic scale in situ and in real time. A dedicated ultrahigh-vacuum grazing-incidence small-angle x-ray scattering setup has been developed, yielding high sensitivity and dynamics.

Real Time Air Quality Monitoring

2018 10th International Conference on Knowledge and Smart Technology (KST), 2018
In this paper, a real-time crowd sensing based air quality monitoring system is presented. The proposed system uses low cost and low power devices with gas sensors to capture the air quality index from the atmosphere. Raw sensor data collected from the gas sensors sent to the cloud using an android application.

Real-time monitoring system for microfluidics

SPIE Proceedings, 2007
A new non-invasive real-time system for the monitoring and control of microfluidodynamic phenomena is proposed. The general purpose design of such system is suitable for in vitro and in vivo experimental setup and therefore for microfluidic application in the biomedical field such as lab-on-chip and for research studies in the field of ...

Real-time computing in patient monitoring

International Journal of Bio-Medical Computing, 1972
Abstract The Research Department of Anaesthetics at the Royal College of Surgeons has been involved in computer-oriented patient monitoring for the last three years. Monitoring, in this context, means that not only should the clinician be able to detect that a dangerous situation has arisen, but that the system should be able to predict that such a ...

Towards the real time monitoring of AGC

Proceedings of the 33rd Annual Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2005
Automatic Generation Control (AGC) is one of the ancillary services that have become important in the deregulated power system environment. Together with the fact that the load varies rapidly throughout the day, it is imperative to have a system that will maintain a continuous and reliable flow of power within the system.

Real-time monitoring of traffic congestions

2017 IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology (EIT), 2017
Alleviating the difficulty of congestion roads is quite a tough task; however such an alleviation can prevent many unwanted problems like employees late to work; deliveries do not arrive on time and many more. One of the main tactics to deal with the congested road difficulty is alerting the drivers about congested roads in real time, so the drivers ...

Real-Time Pulmonary Graphic Monitoring

Clinics in Perinatology, 2007
Real-time pulmonary graphics allow breath-to-breath assessment of pulmonary mechanics and patient-ventilator interaction. It allows the clinician to customize ventilator settings based on pathophysiology and patient response, and may enable detection of complications before they become clinically apparent.

Real-time distance monitoring in magnetomyography

Journal of Neural Engineering
Abstract Objective. Magnetomyography (MMG) using optically pumped magnetometers (OPM) offers a contactless, non-invasive approach to assess muscle activity. However, fluctuations in the sensor-to-source distance during MMG recordings pose a significant challenge to accurate signal ...
