Learning a Hybrid Architecture for Sequence Regression and Annotation

open access: yes, 2015
When learning a hidden Markov model (HMM), sequen- tial observations can often be complemented by real-valued summary response variables generated from the path of hid- den states. Such settings arise in numerous domains, includ- ing many applications in

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Monotonicity character of convex combinations of two sequences generated by the square of the cube root function

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
There is a natural connection between the finite sums of the reciprocals of the squares of the cube roots of positive natural numbers and two definite integrals.

On Lacunary p-Absolutely Summable Fuzzy Real-Valued Double Sequence Space

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2014
In this article, we introduce the class of p-absolutely summable fuzzy real valued double sequence (2lp)Fθ We have studied some algebraic properties like solid, symmetric, convergence free, sequence algebra.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Advanced Speech Communication System for Deaf People [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper describes the development of an Advanced Speech Communication System for Deaf People and its field evaluation in a real application domain: the renewal of Driver’s License. The system is composed of two modules. The first one is a Spanish into

Sequences of reals to sequences of zeros and ones [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1990
This paper considers maps from sequences of reals to sequences of zeros and ones which preserve the tail. The continuum hypothesis is used.

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Prediction Model of Interval Grey Numbers with a Real Parameter and Its Application

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
Grey prediction models have become common methods which are widely employed to solve the problems with “small examples and poor information.” However, modeling objects of existing grey prediction models are limited to the homogenous data sequences which ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...
