Trade, Employment and Wages in Sweden 1975-93 [PDF]
This paper investigates the effect of import competition on employment and wages in the Swedish manufacturing sector during 1975-93. Labour is divided into production and non-production workers respectively. The results show that import competition had a

Real Wage Dynamics and the Phillips Curve [PDF]
Since Friedman (1968), the traditional derivation of the accelerationist Phillips curve has related expected real wage inflation to the unemployment rate and then invoked markup pricing and adaptive expectations to generate the accelerationist price inflation equation.

The thermal diffusivity of MgO‐C refractories is highly sensitive to sample preparation and processing procedures. In this article, the effects of coking sequence, machining conditions, structural inhomogeneity, and graphite coating application on measurements using laser flash apparatus are systematically investigated.

The presented study focuses on the fracture behaviour of carbon‐bonded magnesia MgO–C refractories, where environmentally friendly fructose, collagen and lignin serve as temporary binding agents. The partial substitution of the source material with recycled MgO–C reduces the fracture resistance, which can be counteracted by the additional introduction ...

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EFFICIENCY WAGES AND PRICE INDEXATION IN A NOMINAL WAGE CONTRACTING MODEL [PDF]
This paper examines how a link between efficiency wages and price indexation can arise in a simple nominal wage contracting model. We show that, the more elastic the worker¡¯s effort is with respect to real wages, the looser the optimal linkage of ...

Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...

The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of

Real wages and the demand for skilled and unskilled male labour in Ghana's manufacturing sector: 1991-1995 [PDF]
Real wage rates in Ghana have fallen substantially over the last twenty years. In this paper survey data for the years 1991–1996 is used to assess whether this fall has continued in the 1990s.
