Convection-based realtime polymerase chain reaction (PCR) utilizing transparent graphene heaters

IEEE SENSORS 2014 Proceedings, 2014
We present a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) chip incorporating graphene heaters and thermal convection. We adopted graphene heaters in order to replace the bulky metal heating blocks or opaque metal line heaters utilized in the previous PCR chips. Transparency of the CVD based graphene heaters allowed the realtime fluorescence detection of PCR product

mRNA profiling for body fluid identification by reverse transcription endpoint PCR and realtime PCR

Forensic Science International: Genetics, 2009
mRNA profiling is a promising new method for the identification of body fluids from biological stains. Major advantages of mRNA profiling are the possibility of detecting several body fluids in one multiplex reaction and of simultaneously isolating DNA without loss of material. A reverse transcription endpoint polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and

New realtime PCR method development for detection and quantification of Bacillus subtilis

Heavy metals and arsenic concentrations in water, agricultural soil, and rice in Ngan Son district, Bac Kan province, Vietnam, 2022
Bacillus subtilis is a widely used bacterial strain in probiotic production. The strains belong to this species are endosporogenic, tolerant to acidic pH conditions in the stomach, and many have been shown to produce enzymes that aid in food digestion and inhibit pathogenic microorganisms.

SOP EMrtCO1 realtime PCR for the detection of Echinococcus multilocularis eggs

2021
OHEJP MEmE This method describes the molecular identification of Echinococcus multilocularis DNA using a realtime PCR method with a CO1 target. Probe used is FAM as a reporter dye in assay, IBFQ as quencher, and a ZEN internal quenching modification to the probe in order to lower background and increase signal detection.

APPLICATION OF REALTIME PCR FOR DETECTING M.TUBERCULOSIS RESISTANT TO RIFAMPICIN AND ISONIAZID

Journal of Medicine and Pharmacy, 2015
Introduction: Conventional culture methods for antibiotic susceptibility testing for M. tuberculosis may take days to several weeks. Use of realtime PCR for rapid detection of drug and multidrug resistant tuberculosis could facilitate early initiation of appropriate anti-tubercular treatment regimen thereby interrupting transmission.

Entwicklung von Realtime-PCR-Methoden zur Analyse von DNA-Methylierung

2007
DNA-Methylation plays a role in a number of biological processes, such as imprinting, X chromosomal inactivation and gene expression. DNA hypermethylation is closely associated with transcriptional silencing, while DNA hypomethylation is associated with transcriptional activation. The tumor genesis is associated with changes in DNA methylation patterns
