Genetics and Genome Segment Reassortment
1996Nineteen of the ninety-five taxonomic groups of viruses (families and floating genera) listed in the Sixth Report of the International Committee for Taxonomy of Viruses (Murphy et al., 1995) possess segmented genomes. All except the geminiviruses of plants are RNA viruses.
