Mobilizing Documents: Identification, Bureaucracy, and Policing in Transnational Mobility

open access: yesPoLAR: Political and Legal Anthropology Review, Volume 49, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT This co‐authored essay builds on a growing anthropological literature that engages critically and creatively with idealized official and popular ideas about documents of/in migration regimes. Documents are often championed as a common and unquestionable good in transnational migration but they are intrinsically tied to inequalities and ...

Quantifying the Impact of Temporal and Spatial Heterogeneity in Turbulence on Bed‐Load Transport Over Vegetated Beds Under Wave‐Current Conditions

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 7, 16 April 2026.
Abstract Laboratory experiments measured velocity and bedload transport in vegetated channels under current‐dominated, combined wave‐current conditions. Waves and vegetation, respectively, introduced temporal and spatial heterogeneity in the velocity, which significantly impacted sediment transport rate.

Natural and Synthetic Metabolic Architectures

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
Metabolism yields function through architecture, not through isolated parts. This Perspective article discusses how design can move from components to connectivity and then to architectural regimes that account for space, time, and routing. The framework links understanding to engineering and helps explain why microbial engineering meets challenges ...

Enhancing Offshore Wind Utilization by Embedding Neural Surrogates of Total Transfer Capability in Security‐Constrained Dispatch

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 4, April 2026.
Graphical abstract of the proposed decision‐aware Neural TTC framework. AC‐secure TTC labels are first generated from spatio‐temporal operating conditions using CPF/RPF and N‐1 screening with thermal, voltage, and transient security checks. A compact ReLU neural surrogate then maps exogenous conditions and endogenous dispatch decisions to interface TTC,

An Engineered Nano‐Vesicle Adjuvant Platform (ENAP) for Cytokine Delivery Enables a Novel Antigen‐Coordinated Vaccine Against Helicobacter pylori

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Despite the considerable potential of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) vaccines, their clinical efficacy has been hampered by inadequate mucosal immunity and suboptimal Th1/Th17 polarization. To address this, we engineered a novel nano‐adjuvant system using LPS‐modified recombinant outer membrane vesicles (rOMVs) derived from H.
