Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

BeiDou Satellites Assistant Determination by Receiving Other GNSS Downlink Signals
GNSS’s orbit determinations always rely on ground station or intersatellite links (ISL). In the emergency of satellite-to-ground links and ISL break-off, BeiDou navigation satellite system (BDS) satellites cannot determine their orbits. In this paper, we

Phased array antennas in MIMO receiver
In this paper, a computer simulation of a MIMO system comprising phased array antennas (PAA) in all receiving branches is presented. In order to examine the system performance under relatively realistic conditions, a ray-tracing simulator was applied to generate a baseband channel impulse response matrix H.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Error exponent for TAS/MRC fading channel
Using Meijer-G function, exact expression for the random coding error exponent, ergodic capacity, cutoff rate, expurgated exponent of TAS/MRC Nakagami-m fading channel were derived.Numerical results show that the random coding error exponent is related to ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Adaptive widely linear processing for MIMO systems
Wireless communication systems using two or more transmit antennas and one or more receiving antennas have emerged in recent years. There are several reasons for this to be occurring, including: the increasing demand for high data rate, high user ...
