Fast measurement method for received array antenna

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The classic method of testing array antenna is measuring the beam pattern separately, which suffers from low efficiency. In this study, a fast measurement method used for received array antenna has been present.

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Electrochemical Evaluation of Compressed Selective Laser Melted AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg Alloys in Chloride Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Resistive receiving and scattering antenna

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1967
This work is a sequel to two earlier papers devoted to detailed theoretical and numerical analyses of the imperfectly conducting cylindrical transmitting antenna [1], [2]. A knowledge of the driving-point impedance of the transmitting antenna, as previously reported, and the short-circuit current, as derived in this paper, completely determine the ...

An investigation of pre-launch and in-flight STS range safety radio signal degradation and dropout [PDF]

open access: yes
The range safety system (RSS) transmitters operate at a frequency of 416.500 MHz. The transmitting antennas transmit left circularly polarized waves, and the shuttle range safety system (SRSS) receiving antennas onboard the shuttle vehicle receive left ...
