Interpolation-Based Modeling Methodology for Efficient Aeroelastic Control of a Folding Wing
The aeroelastic model of a folding wing varies with different configurations, so it actually represents a parameter-varying system. Firstly, a new approach based on interpolation of local models is proposed to generate the linear parameter-varying model ...

Influence of the rail dampers on the frequencydomain response of the rail
Rail dampers are mechanical devices mounted at both sides of the rail web aiming to reduce the vibration along the rail. In this way, a shorter length of the rail vibrates effectively and the rolling noise is less intense.

The article describes an alteration of the traditional method of input‐output feedback linearization by applying a linear‐nonlinear decomposition of a system. The modified method makes it possible to obtain an equivalent linear model of the system in the presence of parametric uncertainties and disturbances.

Closed‐Form Design and Understanding of Vertical Inerter–Based Dampers for Wind Turbines
Wind turbines with larger capacities face bending deformation due to taller towers and longer blades, necessitating mitigation against extreme seismic loads. A vertically installed inerter‐based damper, referred to as the tuned viscous mass damper (TVMD), is proposed alongside a closed‐form design approach.

Receptance-based partial eigenstructure assignment by state feedback control
The partial eigenvalue assignment problem has drawn much attention for decades because of its usefulness and fascinating appeal in vibration control. It is also a mathematically challenging problem, particularly when the mathematical description is cast ...
