Assessment of Learners’ Motivation during Interactions with Serious Games: A Study of Some Motivational Strategies in Food-Force

open access: yesAdvances in Human-Computer Interaction, 2012
This study investigated motivational strategies and the assessment of learners’ motivation during serious gameplay. Identifying and intelligently assessing the effects that these strategies may have on learners are particularly relevant for educational ...

Bounds on eigenvalues of real symmetric interval matrices for αBB method in global optimization [PDF]

open access: yesYugoslav Journal of Operations Research
In this paper, we investigate bounds on eigenvalues of real symmetric interval matrices. We present a method that computes bounds on eigenvalues of real symmetric interval matrices.

Branch-and-price-and-cut for large-scale multicommodity capacitated fixed-charge network design

open access: yesEURO Journal on Computational Optimization, 2014
We present a branch-and-price-and-cut algorithm for solving large-scale instances of the multicommodity capacitated fixed-charge network design problem.

Saliency Map Estimation Using a Pixel-Pairwise-Based Unsupervised Markov Random Field Model

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
This work presents a Bayesian statistical approach to the saliency map estimation problem. More specifically, we formalize the saliency map estimation issue in the fully automatic Markovian framework.

Right on target: Is public disclosure of non‐GAAP earnings associated with M&A efficiency?

open access: yesContemporary Accounting Research, Volume 42, Issue 3, Page 2122-2155, Fall 2025.
Abstract We examine the association between target firms' public non‐GAAP earnings disclosures and merger and acquisition (M&A) efficiency. This research question is important, given the widespread use of non‐GAAP metrics in M&A valuation and lack of evidence regarding the real effects of non‐GAAP disclosure.

On Uniquely Hamiltonian Claw-Free and Triangle-Free Graphs

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory, 2015
A graph is uniquely Hamiltonian if it contains exactly one Hamiltonian cycle. In this note, we prove that claw-free graphs with minimum degree at least 3 are not uniquely Hamiltonian.

Project management challenges in client‐consultant decision‐making: A case for the Ghanaian mining construction industry

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Administrative Sciences / Revue Canadienne des Sciences de l'Administration, Volume 42, Issue 2, Page 302-319, June 2025.
Abstract This study explores the complex decision‐making (DM) dynamics between clients and consultants, a crucial area often neglected in existing research. Utilizing a Multi‐Perspective Approach combined with Multi‐Criteria Decision Analysis, we examine DM challenges such as cost overruns, project delays, and compromised work quality stemming from ...

Opinion and report of the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) relating to an analysis of the health risks associated with exposure to caterpillars with stinging hairs and the development of management recommendations

open access: yesFood Risk Assess Europe, Volume 3, Issue 2, April 2025.
Abstract Several species of Lepidoptera with caterpillars bearing urticating hairs are increasing their range in metropolitan France from year to year, such as the pine processionary (Thaumetopoea pityocampa Denis et Schiffermüller 1775) whose presence was historically limited to the south of France, and which is gradually being observed in the north ...

Les stratégies municipales pour la transformation d'un mégaprojet en situation d'échec: le cas du site aéroportuaire de Mirabel au Québec

open access: yesCanadian Geographer / Le géographe canadien, Volume 69, Issue 2, Summer / été 2025.
Abstract Research on mega‐projects gives minimal consideration to municipal stakeholders and the municipal level as a sphere of action, or to decision making about and adaptation to these projects. It is also only recently that attention has been paid to the duration of projects and the roles of a variety of stakeholders in their progression.
