Evaluation of the reciprocal teaching style in tennis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Sciences, 2023
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the Reciprocal Teaching Style (hereinafter R.T.S.), in basic strokes of tennis, such as forehand, backhand and service, and at the same time to investigate whether it affects the development of motor skills. The first part of the research consisted of 102 children aged 14-15 years with no previous experience in

Chemical State Detection and Charge Transfer in Complex Oxide Heterostructures via In Situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy resolves oxidation states with high fidelity during the pulsed laser deposition of multivalent perovskite manganate and vanadate heterostructures. The chemical‐state signature is carried by the valence‐electron population of the transition‐metal cation, read out through the relative intensities of Auger fine ...

Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension by Using Reciprocal Teaching Strategy

open access: yesJ-SHMIC: Journal of English for Academic, 2019
Reading occupies large portion in teaching-learning activities, especially for English department students. It is reasonable since all their learning materials are in English. However, their ability in reading comprehension is low.

Spatially Modulated Morphotropic Phase Boundaries in a Compressively Strained Multiferroic Thin Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The coexisting rhombohedral‐like (R′, MA) and tetragonal‐like (T′, MC) monoclinic phases in compressively strained bismuth ferrite thin films exhibit exceptional piezoelectric and magnetic properties. While previous studies have largely focused on probing the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPBs) comprising ordered R′/T′ twins, their self ...

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Coordinated Architectural and Chemical Reinforcement in the Crushing Mandible of a Soldier Termite

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The crushing mandible of a soldier termite withstands substantial biting loads despite lacking mineral. Its cuticle is partitioned: convex teeth pair hardness and zinc enrichment with aligned chitin fibers for contact durability, while stiffer concave regions between teeth carry bending loads.

Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...

Establishing Atomic Coherence in Twisted Oxide Membranes Containing Volatile Elements

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Twisted oxide membranes containing volatile elements often suffer from amorphous interfacial dead layers that suppress coupling. An oxygen‐annealing strategy establishes atomically coherent and chemically bonded interfaces in twisted NaNbO3 membranes, enabling coherent oxide moiré architectures in volatile‐element‐containing systems.
