Study on the flow control of continuous post-spraying of gas-guide self-locking for weapon dispersed charging [PDF]
Excessive recoil severely restricts the application of high-power traditional guns on modern aircraft. The objective of the proposed dual-chamber dispersed charging high-pressure opening and low-pressure replying gas-guide self-locking control rear spray

Fast Neutron Scintillator Screens for Neutron Imaging Using a Layered Polymer-Phosphor Architecture
Fast neutrons enable a nondestructive examination of dense, large, and highly attenuating samples due to their lower interaction probability compared to thermal neutrons.

An Analytical Study of Fire Out of Battery Using Magneto Rheological Dampers
The application of magneto rheological dampers for controlling the dynamics of a fire out-of-battery recoil system is examined, using a dynamic simulation of a 105mm cannon. Upon providing a brief background on MR dampers and fire out-of-battery dynamics,

Tromethamine improves mucociliary clearance in cystic fibrosis pigs
In cystic fibrosis (CF), the loss of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) mediated Cl− and HCO3− secretion across the epithelium acidifies the airway surface liquid (ASL). Acidic ASL alters two key host defense mechanisms: Rapid ASL

Electron–deuteron DIS with spectator tagging at EIC: Development of theoretical framework
An Electron–Ion Collider (EIC) would enable next-generation measurements of deep-inelastic scattering (DIS) on the deuteron with detection of a forward-moving nucleon (p, n) and measurement of its recoil momentum (“spectator tagging”).

Improved background subtraction and a fresh look at jet sub-structure in JEWEL
Interactions of hard partons in the Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) created with relativistic heavy ion collisions lead to characteristic modifications of the internal structure of reconstructed jets. A large part of the observed jet sub-structure modifications

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
