DNA Recombination by XPCR [PDF]
The first step of the Adleman-Lipton extract model in DNA computing is the combinatorial generation of libraries. In this paper a new method is proposed for generating a initial pool, it is a quaternary recombination of strings via application of null context splicing rules.

Recombination of DNA Molecules
1966Publisher Summary The chapter discusses the recombination of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecules. The chapter also discusses the major features of genetic recombination and also summarizes some current speculations on the recombination of DNA molecules.

Introduction to Recombinant DNA
Pediatrics, 1984Seldom has a scientific or biomedical break-through evoked the awe, controversy, or sheer incredulity that has accompanied the developments in the field of recombinant DNA technology or more popularly, gene cloning and genetic engineering. Now little more than one generation after Avery, et al1 demonstrated that genes were encoded in DNA and Watson and

DNA helicases in recombination
2007The different pathways of homologous recombination involve the recognition and pairing of homologous DNA sequences promoted by proteins that catalyze strand exchange. Other steps in recombination involve double stranded DNA unwinding for branch migration activities, and in some cases the reannealing of single DNA strands.

The basic techniques of genetics have relied heavily on spontaneous or induced mutation, followed by standard recombination methods using sexual or asexual processes. There are natural barriers to limit recombination between different organisms, although some of these can be circumvented. Much interest has recently centred around techniques which avoid
