Spin multiplicity and entanglement swapping in radical ion recombinations [PDF]
We address the problem of relative frequencies of singlet and triplet recombinations in a multiparticle system, which consists of spin-correlated radical ion pairs. The nonlocal swapping of spin correlations due to cross-recombinations is taken into account.

Active Hydrogen for Electrochemical Ammonia Synthesis
This review provides a comprehensive overview of the active hydrogen (H*) for electrochemical ammonia synthesis with particular attention given to the regulation of H* generation and consumption to suppress the competition of hydrogen evolution reaction and enhance the yield, selectivity, and Faradaic efficiency of ammonia.

Radiation of the Tunnel Electron on Secondary Center of Recombination [PDF]
We discuss the photon emission that occurs due to the radiative recombination of an electron on a nearby center after tunneling ionization. The model of an active electron is used, and analytical solution to three-dimensional problem is obtained. The dependence of the photon emission from a distance between centers of ionization and a recombination ...

A Simple and Robust Statistical Test for Detecting the Presence of Recombination
Recombination is a powerful evolutionary force that merges historically distinct genotypes. But the extent of recombination within many organisms is unknown, and even determining its presence within a set of homologous sequences is a difficult question ...

Imbalanced Surface Charge Induced Phase Segregation in Mixed Halide Perovskites
The key factor determining the phase segregation in mixed halide perovskites (MHP) is the intrinsic imbalanced surface charges in the crystal lattice. MHP films with excellent crystallinity and surface morphology can suffer severe phase segregation.

The randomness that shapes our DNA
Just 5% of the human genome is subject to neutral evolution, but this process remains central to understanding the history of human migration across the Earth.

Advancing organohalide perovskite solar cells requires understanding of carrier dynamics. Electron-hole recombination is a particularly important process because it constitutes a major pathway of energy and current losses.

A coordination polymer [Pb(tadt)]n prepared by a microwave‐assisted solvothermal method selectively reduces CO2 into formate under visible light with a high apparent quantum yield of ≈25% at 400 nm. It can function as a pre‐catalyst, along with conductive Ketjen Black, to form an active PbCO3/Pb3(CO3)2(OH)2 mixture that exhibits a high Faradaic ...
