Pattern reconfigurable compact antenna
2009 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop on Wireless Sensing, Local Positioning, and RFID, 2009This paper presents a design of an compact antenna providing two diverse radiation patterns, which results from the excitation of two different modes. The antenna consists of a capacitively fed annular ring microstrip antenna, which can be shorted via shorting pins on its edges using pin diodes.

Piezoelectric reconfigurable antenna
2013 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2013A novel approach to tuning an inverted F antenna is investigated by using PZT materials that switch elements into contact using a dc control voltage to reconfigure the IFA structure. This produces a prototype reconfigurable antenna which can be finely tuned over a 9% bandwidth.
