Tailored compliant mechanisms for reconfigurable electromagnetic devices
AbstractReconfigurable electromagnetic devices, specifically reconfigurable antennas, have shown to be integral to the future of communication systems. However, mechanically robust designs that can survive real-world, harsh environment applications and high-power conditions remain rare to this day.

Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.

A Topology Reconfiguration Mechanism for Distributed Computer Systems [PDF]
A topology reconfiguration algorithm for a densely distributed computer structure composed of computers of low cost/performance ratio (e.g. microcomputers) is given. A distributed routing mechanism based on Baran's 'hot potato' heuristic routing algorithm is discussed.

A fully transparent, all‐metal‐oxide neuromorphic transistor using a sodium‐embedded alumina (SEA) electrolyte is demonstrated. By precisely tuning the thermal annealing process, the chemical composition of the SEA layer is controlled, allowing for the deterministic realization of both short‐term and long‐term synaptic plasticity within the same device

Reconfigurable Mobile Multimedia Systems [PDF]
This paper discusses reconfigurability issues in lowpower hand-held multimedia systems, with particular emphasis on energy conservation. We claim that a radical new approach has to be taken in order to fulfill the requirements - in terms of processing ...
