Kinematics, workspace and singularity analysis of a multi-mode parallel robot

open access: yes, 2017
A family of reconfigurable parallel robots can change motion modes by passing through constraint singularities by locking and releasing some passive joints of the robot.

Biologically-inspired vascular antenna reconfiguration mechanism

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2011
A biologically-inspired fluidic network based on the human vascular system and transport of colloidal dispersions is proposed as an antenna reconfiguration mechanism. The impact of fluidic colloidal dispersion properties on the impedance behaviour is predicted. Trends in analytical, simulated and measured results show good agreement.

A novel architecture for a reconfigurable micro machining cell [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
There is a growing demand for machine tools that are specifically designed for the manufacture of micro-scale components. Such machine tools are integrated into flexible micro-manufacturing systems.

Advanced Coordinated Beamforming for the Downlink of Future LTE Cellular Networks

open access: yes, 2016
Modern cellular networks in traditional frequency bands are notoriously interference-limited especially in urban areas, where base stations are deployed in close proximity to one another.

Motion Branch Transformation of 3(Rc)PU Parallel Mechanism with Reconfigurable Joint and Kinematic Performance Index

open access: yesApplied Sciences
A novel 3(Rc)PU parallel mechanism based on the reconfigurable circular groove cross joint (Rc joint) is proposed. The motion branch transformation relationship and constraint performance evaluation method for the mechanism are studied.

Design of a Lockable Spherical Joint for a Reconfigurable 3-URU Parallel Platform

open access: yesRobotics, 2018
This article deals with the functional and preliminary design of a reconfigurable joint for robotic applications. Such mechanism is a key element for a class of lower mobility parallel manipulators, allowing a local reconfiguration of the kinematic chain

Reconfigurable Mobile Multimedia Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
This paper discusses reconfigurability issues in lowpower hand-held multimedia systems, with particular emphasis on energy conservation. We claim that a radical new approach has to be taken in order to fulfill the requirements - in terms of processing ...

Frequency reconfigurable patch antenna for 4G LTE applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A compact printed multi-band frequency reconfigurable patch antenna for 4G LTE applications is presented in this paper (50 x 60 x 1.6 mm3). The antenna consists of W-shaped and Inverted-U shaped patch lines connected in a Tree-shape on the front side of ...

P(2-RPS)&U Reconfigurable Rehabilitation Mechanism Used for Human Joint and Its Kinematics Analysis

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2019
Based on the motion mechanism of human joints and reconfigurable concept, a P(2-RPS)&U reconfigurable rehabilitation mechanism is proposed. By locking the kinematic pairs to change the movement mode of the moving platform, the rehabilitation training

Smart technologies for effective reconfiguration: the FASTER approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Current and future computing systems increasingly require that their functionality stays flexible after the system is operational, in order to cope with changing user requirements and improvements in system features, i.e.
