Dynamic reconfiguration of component-based systems: a feature reification approach

open access: yes, 2014
Component-based approaches generalize basic object-oriented implementations by allowing large collections of objects to be grouped together and externalized in terms of public interfaces.

Bioinspired Soft‐Skeleton Robotics With Cooperative Shape Transformation and Stiffness Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A bioinspired soft‐skeleton robot that integrates variable‐stiffness chain skeletons into a soft textile skin is developed. The chain skeletons are highly flexible initially but can stiffen upon pneumatic actuation, enabling large deformation and enhanced load‐bearing capacity.

An efficient reconfiguration scheme for fault-tolerant meshes

open access: yes, 2010
A new reconfiguration scheme, including a reconfiguration algorithm, is proposed in this paper to lift up the fault tolerance and system reconfiguration abilities for the mesh topology.

Magnetic Micro‐ and Nanorobots for Precision Thrombolysis: Design Strategies and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Micro‐ and nanorobots for targeted thrombolysis. This perspective elaborates on the clinical indication of blood clot disorders and current limitations for treatment. As a novel, alternative solution, micro‐ and nanorobots can be used to treat and break down thrombi.

Sharp Upper Bounds for Reconfiguration Sequences of Independent Sets in Trees

open access: yes, 2022
In this work we consider reconfiguration problems for independent sets using the token sliding model. For some classes of graphs efficient algorithms are known to decide whether one independent set can be transformed into the other, e.g.
