Procedural Efficiency and Clinical Outcomes of a Region‐Specific Radiofrequency Ablation Strategy for Pulmonary Vein Isolation

Graphical summary of a region‐specific radiofrequency ablation strategy for pulmonary vein isolation. Anatomically tailored energy delivery was associated with improved procedural efficiency, with no detected difference in first‐pass isolation or 12‐month arrhythmia recurrence compared with conventional ablation index‐guided ablation.

Hemoglobin Levels as a Marker of Arrhythmia Recurrence After Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

Lower hemoglobin levels are associated with increased arrhythmia recurrence after radiofrequency ablation but not cryoballoon ablation. The stronger association in patients with non‐paroxysmal AF suggests that low hemoglobin may reflect an adverse atrial substrate rather than a procedural effect.

Efficacy and Safety of 60 W Versus 90 W, 4‐s Radiofrequency Applications to the Esophagus‐Adjacent Left Atrial Posterior Wall During Pulmonary Vein Isolation: A Pilot Study

In this randomized pilot study, 60 W and 90 W QMODE+ RF applications for the periesophageal region achieved comparable acute block and low esophageal injury rates (4.2% each), with similar 1‐year arrhythmia‐free survival, although contact force was higher in the 60 W group.
