An unusual variant of rectal atresia with rectovestibular fistula

Persistent rectal fistula due to metallic mercury

Abstract This case report reaffirms the findings in other cases reviewed, that complications may arise when mercury is free in the intestinal tract and a break in continuity exists. A case report of mucinous adenocarcinoma in anorectal fistula of rectal mucosal origin, though many cases reported were thought to be of anal duct origin.
