Tensor permittivity reconstruction of two-sectional diaphragm in a rectangular waveguide

Proceedings of the International Conference Days on Diffraction 2014, 2014
In this paper we consider tensor permittivity determination of two-sectional diaphragm in a rectangular waveguide. This study employs the technique developed in [1]-[3] and deals with tensor permittivity reconstruction of layered materials in the form of diaphragms (sections) in a waveguide of rectangular cross section from the transmission coefficient.

Correlation tensors of the blackbody radiation in rectangular cavities

Zeitschrift fr Physik B Condensed Matter and Quanta, 1976
Electromagnetic equilibrium fluctuations in finite cavities filled with a dissipative medium (dielectric functione (ω)=e′+ie″) and bounded by walls of infinite conductivity are considered. Expanding the fields in terms of a complete and orthonormal set of functions and solving the Maxwell equations the response of the EM field to external forces ...

The streamline-diffusion method for nonconforming Qrot1 elements on rectangular tensor-product meshes

IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis, 2001
The authors study the stability and convergence properties of the streamline-diffusion finite element method (SDFEM) discretization for nonconforming elements on tensor-product rectangular meshes. The analysis in this paper shows that no jump terms are needed to stabilize the method as propsed in earlier works dealing with nonconformal elements ...

Tensor permittivity and permeability reconstruction of a one-sectional diaphragm in a rectangular waveguide

2016 URSI International Symposium on Electromagnetic Theory (EMTS), 2016
This work is devoted to the solution of the inverse problem of reconstructing electromagnetic characteristics of anisotropic parallel-plane dielectric diaphragms. We consider a one-sectional diaphragm in a rectangular waveguide filled with anisotropic media having a diagonal permittivity and permeability tensors and propose a method of reconstructing ...

Anisotropic rectangular waveguides with diagonal index tensors: approximate variational analysis with anisotropy as a perturbation

Optics Communications, 1996
Abstract The eigenvalue equation of anisotropic rectangular dielectric waveguides with diagonal index tensors is decomposed into a pair of scalar wave equations coupled only because of anisotropy. We solve the approximate, uncoupled equations by variational analysis and handle the coupling term as a first-order perturbation. We prove the stationarity

Two-Dimensional DOA Estimation with Partial Damaged Sensors in Rectangular Array Based on Tensor Reconstruction

2018 4th Annual International Conference on Network and Information Systems for Computers (ICNISC), 2018
In the field of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation, there exists no problem of angle merging and it has low sidelobe characteristics with the uniform rectangular array. But when sensors in the uniform rectangular array are partially damaged, the two-dimensional DOA estimation performance of the original algorithms will seriously decline, and even ...

Numerical-analytical method for reconstructing tensor permittivity and permeability of a diaphragm in a rectangular waveguide

2016 Progress in Electromagnetic Research Symposium (PIERS), 2016
A numerical-analytical method is developed for reconstructing tensor permittivity and permeability of a dielectric diaphragm in a rectangular waveguide. The techniques and obtained solutions can be implemented in practical measurements for the investigation of new artificial materials and media and can be applied in optics, nanotechnology, and design ...

A Measurement of the Complex Permittivity Tensor by a Standing-Wave Method in a Rectangular Waveguide

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1987
A rubber sheet manufactured by the rolling process strongly shows an anisotropic property, which is caused by carbon particles or carbon fibers aligned along the rolling direction. The measurement of the complex permittivity tensor in the rubber sheet is studied by a standing-wave method in a rectangular waveguide.

Program to calculate the gravitational field and gravity gradient tensor resulting from a system of right rectangular prisms

Computers & Geosciences, 1992
Abstract A FORTRAN program is described that calculates the gravitational field and the gravity gradient tensor resulting from a system of right rectangular prisms which can be ordered into a threedimensional (3-D) model. The gravitational field and gravity gradient tensors can be calculated on a grid on or above the model's surface. The algorithm is
