Detection and Zoonotic Implications of Shiga Toxin–Producing Escherichia coli in Black Bengal Goats in Bangladesh

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Low prevalence of STEC was detected in Black Bengal goats in Bangladesh; however, isolates carrying stx2, ehxA, saa, and subA highlight the presence of atypical strains with zoonotic potential.
