Data-Driven Situation Awareness of Electricity-Gas Integrated Energy System considering Time Series Features

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2022
Clean and low-carbon electricity-gas integrated energy system (EGIES) is being developed rapidly in order to meet the dual-carbon target. Situation awareness can provide an early warning of operational risks to the EGIES, which is helpful for its ...

Recurrence plot analysis of irregularly sampled data

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2018
Irregularly sampled time series usually require data preprocessing before a desired time-series analysis can be applied. We propose an approach for distance measuring of pairs of data points which is directly applicable to irregularly sampled time series.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Recurrence Plots of Exchange Rates of Currencies [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Sciences, 2014
Used to investigate the presence of distinctive recurrent behaviours in natural processes, the recurrence plots can be applied to the analysis of economic data, and, in particular, to the characterization of exchange rates of currencies too. In this paper, we will show that these plots are able to characterize the periods of oscillation and random walk

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Coronary Artery Disease Detection Based on a Novel Multi-Modal Deep-Coding Method Using ECG and PCG Signals

open access: yesSensors
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is an irreversible and fatal disease. It necessitates timely and precise diagnosis to slow CAD progression. Electrocardiogram (ECG) and phonocardiogram (PCG), conveying abundant disease-related information, are prevalent ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Cross Recurrence Plot Analysis Based Method For TDOA Estimation Of Underwater Acoustic Signals

open access: yes, 2015
International audience—In this paper, we propose to use cross recurrence plot analysis (CRPA) to estimate the time-difference of arrival (TDOA) of underwater acoustic signals arriving on an array of hydrophones.
