Recurrence relations satisfied by some arithmetic groups

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
Recently, recurrence relations satisfied by the modular traces of the Hauptmodul for Γ0(N){\Gamma }_{0}\left(N) of genus zero have been established. However, these relations do not determine all values of the modular traces.

A Modern Roman‐Inspired Concrete with Daytime Radiative Cooling Capacity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coolcrete, inspired by ancient Roman concrete, is a new cementitious material with photonic properties enabling passive daytime radiative cooling. Made from quicklime and zeolites, it reduces cooling energy demand, lowers CO2 emissions, and may eliminate urban heat islands.

A recurrence relation for the square root

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 1973
AbstractThe behavior of the sequence xn + 1 = xn(3N − xn2)2N is studied for N > 0 and varying real x0. When 0 < x0 < (3N)12 the sequence converges quadratically to N12. When x0 > (5N)12 the sequence oscillates infinitely. There is an increasing sequence βr, with β−1 = (3N)12 which converges to (5N)12 and is such that when βr < x0 < βr + 1 the sequence {

Revisiting some r-Fibonacci sequences and Hessenberg matrices [PDF]

open access: yesNotes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics
The relationship between different generalizations of Fibonacci numbers and matrices is common in the literature. However, the basic relation of such sequences with Hessenberg matrices is often not properly explored.

Toward Energy‐Efficient Alkaline Water Electrolysis: Advances in Mass Transport Optimization and Electrolyzer Design

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Component‐level engineering in alkaline water electrolysis (AWE) is systematically analyzed, highlighting strategies in porous electrodes, bubble management, membranes, and flow fields to overcome mass‐transport bottlenecks. By linking microstructural design to multi‐scale ionic and gas transport, this Review establishes design principles that connect ...

On a Family of 2-Variable Orthogonal Krawtchouk Polynomials

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2010
We give a hypergeometric proof involving a family of 2-variable Krawtchouk polynomials that were obtained earlier by Hoare and Rahman [SIGMA 4 (2008), 089, 18 pages] as a limit of the 9−j symbols of quantum angular momentum theory, and shown to be ...

New Specific and General Linearization Formulas of Some Classes of Jacobi Polynomials

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
The main purpose of the current article is to develop new specific and general linearization formulas of some classes of Jacobi polynomials. The basic idea behind the derivation of these formulas is based on reducing the linearization coefficients which ...

In Situ Graph Reasoning and Knowledge Expansion Using Graph‐PRefLexOR

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Graph‐PRefLexOR is a novel framework that enhances language models with in situ graph reasoning, symbolic abstraction, and recursive refinement. By integrating graph‐based representations into generative tasks, the approach enables interpretable, multistep reasoning.
