On Computational Properties of Chains of Recurrences

open access: yes, 2001
Backward and mixed chains of recurrences are introduced. A complete set of chains of recurrences manipulation tools is described. Applications of these tools, related to the safety and numeric stability of chained computations are ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Discatenated and lacunary recurrences [PDF]

open access: yesNotes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics
Recursive sequences with gaps have been studied previously. This paper considers some elementary properties of such sequences where the gaps have been created on a regular basis from sequence to sequence – ‘discatenated’ (systematic gaps) and ‘lacunary’

Stationary second-degree iterative methods and recurrences [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The basic theory of stationary second-degree iterative methods is presented from the point of view of recurrences. Recurrences are encountered in the development of expressions for the spectral radii and for various norms associated with linear ...

Trends in TB recurrences.

open access: yes, 2013
Joinpoint regression program-generated trends using Poisson distribution. a. Number of persons with a recurrent TB episode 12 to 24 months after treatment completion, by calendar year of first TB episode. The number of TB recurrences appeared to decrease

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

On Some k-Oresme Polynomials with Negative Indices

open access: yesCommunications in Advanced Mathematical Sciences
In this study, \textit{k-} Oresme polynomials with negative indices, which are the generalization of Oresme polynomials, were examined and defined. By examining the algebraic properties of recently defined polynomial sequences, some important identities

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...
