Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Real‐time vehicle detection using segmentation‐based detection network and trajectory prediction

open access: yesIET Computer Vision
The position of vehicles is determined using an algorithm that includes two stages of detection and prediction. The more the number of frames in which the detection network is used, the more accurate the detector is, and the more the prediction network ...

Stock values predictions using deep learning based hybrid models

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, 2022
Predicting the correct values of stock prices in fast fluctuating high‐frequency financial data is always a challenging task. A deep learning‐based model for live predictions of stock values is aimed to be developed here.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Neural Network Ensembles for Time Series Prediction

open access: yes, 2007
Rapidly evolving businesses generate massive amounts of time-stamped data sequences and defy a demand for massively multivariate time series analysis. For such data the predictive engine shifts from the historical auto-regression to modelling complex

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A recurrent neural network‐based rotor displacement estimation method for eight‐pole active magnetic bearing

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
Active magnetic bearing (AMB) is a key technology in high‐speed rotating machines for rotor suspension, where the displacement sensors play a crucial role in detecting and controlling the rotor position. However, the traditional displacement sensors have
